Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day site operations and delegate tasks to crew members, focusing on property enhancements and beautification.
• Expertly install and retrofit irrigation systems for improved water efficiency and cost reduction.
• Conduct excavation, debris removal, gravel work, sod replacement, and material transportation.
• Monitor, test, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation systems, managing start-ups, winterization, and overall system operation.
• Address water feature issues, including troubleshooting, cleaning, maintenance, and repairs.
• Maintain low-voltage lighting systems, performing necessary maintenance and repairs.
• Perform minor hardscape installations and repairs, and conduct periodic property maintenance.
• Safely use power and manual tools for irrigation installation and maintenance.
• Conduct detailed inspections and plan necessary upgrades for client irrigation systems.
• Ensure compliance with production and maintenance schedules while maintaining excellent customer service.
• Drive company vehicles to job sites, perform pre-trip inspections, and maintain vehicles.
• Maintain and care for company equipment, ensuring a clean and organized job site.
• Notify management of equipment, labor, and material needs for efficient production.
• Assist in the development and training of crew members, ensuring accurate time logs and daily reports.
• Interact with clients and the public in a friendly manner, addressing concerns and identifying cost-saving measures.
• Oversee the work of 2-5 team members, ensuring safety and adherence to PPE requirements.
• Complete all required training classes and seminars.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and a minimum of three years of progressive commercial irrigation experience.
• Knowledge of pump stations, including centrifugal and submersible systems, is a plus.
• Understanding of material requirements and program controllers for irrigation systems.
• Ability to adjust or change spray and rotor nozzles for uniform precipitation rates.
• Skill in repairing and relocating sprinkler heads, mainlines, timers, and electrical components.
• Experience in troubleshooting backflow systems and job costing.
• Proficiency with trenchers, multi-meters, wire locators, ditchers, and pipe sizing.
