Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review tax returns for Individuals, S and C Corporations, and other entities.
• Prepare and review amended returns.
• Prepare and review quarterly sales tax returns.
• Prepare and review tax projections.
• Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and timely filing of returns.
• Conduct tax research and planning to optimize tax strategies for clients.
• Perform accounting month-end close and review.
• Review monthly and annual accounting.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
• Utilize accounting software and technology to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in accounting technology and recommend appropriate tools for the firm.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff.

Qualifications & Desired Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA or EA designation; preferred but not required
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines and budgets; willingness and ability to work extra hours if necessary during tax season
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Windows operating systems
• QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop experience required
• UltraTax CS and SurePrep experience or knowledge is preferred but not required
• Energized professional - seeking greater responsibilities and autonomy with clients
• Have the passion and curiosity to look through the financials of the business, to identify potential opportunities for clients
