Job Description

Join a team that protects Honeywell against unjustifiable risks associated with business transactions and provides leadership and guidance to Sourcing and Procurement professionals and executives. You are part of a team of business impact partners located all around the world providing professional contracts support to a Sourcing organization responsible for the procurement of $6B of product annually. You ensure that final contractual documents drive growth and include all deal parameters approved in accordance with respective approval processes and you ensure that Honeywell business is conducted with the highest ethical standards; compliance with internal company policies, adherence to local and international laws. **Key Responsibilities** + Negotiate contract terms - Negotiates the "legal" terms within supplier agreements and advises the Sourcing professional with respect to negotiating the "business" terms. + Draft simple and complex sourcing documents to include: supplier agreements, amendments, letters, clauses, etc. within the parameters of authority granted by the Legal Dept. + Provide independent analysis to the Sourcing team as to the interpretation of contract clauses and potential avenues to pursue in negotiating defensive and offensive contract claims. + Execute business objectives associated with risk management and the protection of Honeywell during contract, settlement, dispute, and other negotiations with the Honeywell suppliers. + Enable continuous improvement. + Maximize financial targets by ensuring that contracts and other agreements are negotiated within the parameters established by the Honeywell Legal Dept and the individual Honeywell businesses. + Lead initiatives, as required, to enhance the business and process capabilities of the Procurement Contracts Center of Excellence + Mentor others, to include junior members of the team and Sourcing customers with respect to proper contract negotiation and administration principles. U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status. **YOU MUST HAVE** + 3-5 years of experience managing/negotiating contracts. + Excellent communication and negotiation skills. **WE VALUE** + JD preferred + Advanced ability to analyze, draft, and negotiate complex agreements + Ability to research and analyze complex issues + Commercial contracting and procurement experience including Intellectual Property, Export Control, and Uniform Commercial Code requirements desirable. + Strong working knowledge of procurement contract administration including legal, procurement, accounting requirements, and international contracting laws desirable + Demonstrated interpersonal skills, leadership and initiative with results in dynamic environments to include working in virtual team and virtual situations + Strong organization and project management skills. + Ability to develop innovative solutions. + Specific experience in creating and advising clients on the creation of negotiation strategies for negotiating procurement contracts. + Ability to work in a very fast-paced and high-stress environment + Ability to manage multiple competing tasks and priorities through effective prioritization and communication. + Strong problem solving and interpersonal skills. + Demonstrated leadership with results in Procurement-related areas. + Attention to detail and ability to work across functions. + Ability to drive efficiencies and process improvements. **ABOUT HONEYWELL** Honeywell International Inc.
