JF Restaurants by Michelin-Starred and Award-winning Chef John Fraser is hiring for experienced  Hosts  with a genuine sense of warmth and hospitality to join the team  at the Times Square Edition, the Terrace and Outdoor Gardens Restaurant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Creating an energetic and memorable front door experience
• Knowledge of food and beverage menus
• Providing attentiveness and excellent service to VIP guests within the hotel and restaurant
• Increasing sales by ensuring guest satisfaction and prompt problem resolution with special attention to guest experience at the front door
• Greeting and engaging guests in a warm and professional manner
• Operating reservation system to maximize covers and smooth flow of guests
• Coordinating effective flow of guests and staff for a variety of events and high-volume services
• Communicating effectively with management, host, and dining room teams
• Estimating wait times for guests and maintaining the guest wait list
• Creating buzz about the restaurant by demonstrating knowledge of service, food and beverage offerings
• Compliance with OSHA, local health and safety codes as well as Company safety and security policies
• Ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Ability to read, write and speak fluent English

• Open availability including weekends is a MUST
• Experience in a similar restaurant/hotel setting or position
• Participate as a team player with other key team members including setting tables, participating in on-site and off-site events, and creative contribution.
• Outstanding ability to communicate and make genuine connections
• Ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Maintaining a cordial demeanor when under pressure
• Additional duties as necessary and assigned
