Position Summary:
The Director of Finance serves as the top-ranking finance executive for the Industrial Health & Safety Division, which includes the Fit For Work and WorkSTEPS business units. This role is responsible for the division’s overall financial strategy, operational finance leadership, and partnership with the broader Confluent Health enterprise to drive profitable growth and optimize capital deployment. As a key member of the division’s senior leadership team, the Director of Finance provides forward-looking financial insight, ensures disciplined financial operations, and plays a central role in shaping the division’s strategic direction within the context of the larger organization.

Essential Functions:
• Serve as the chief financial advisor to the Division President and senior leadership team, influencing business strategy with data-driven insights.
• Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of the division’s long-range financial plan and annual operating budgets in alignment with corporate goals.
• Drive strategic financial modeling and scenario planning for organic growth, acquisitions, partnerships, and operational initiatives.
• Partner with corporate finance and accounting leadership to ensure divisional alignment with enterprise-wide capital allocation and investment strategies.
• Oversee all divisional finance functions, including budgeting, forecasting, monthly close, variance analysis, and cash flow management.
• Ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of all divisional financial records and reporting in compliance with corporate policies and GAAP.
• Present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results to both divisional and corporate senior management, articulating trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Monitor key performance indicators and proactively recommend operational and strategic adjustments to achieve financial targets.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, sales, marketing, and other shared service teams to improve business performance and financial outcomes.
• Conduct in-depth financial analyses of business initiatives, contracts, pricing models, and investment opportunities.
• Lead synergy modeling, cost-benefit analyses, and integration planning for acquisitions or strategic partnerships impacting the division.
• Provide financial guidance for contract negotiations, vendor selection, and resource allocation.
• Establish and enforce strong internal controls to protect company assets and ensure compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with the corporate accounting and audit teams to maintain high standards of financial governance.
• Champion process improvements and technology adoption to enhance efficiency and financial transparency.
• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing finance team within the division.
• Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and business acumen across the organization.
• Serve as a visible leader who models integrity, collaboration, and a commitment to the company’s mission and values.
Qualifications:Qualifications/Skills:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required; CPA, CFA, or MBA strongly preferred.
• Experience: 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role within a multi-site, service-based, or healthcare organization.
• Proven track record as the top or senior-most finance leader within a division or business unit of a larger enterprise.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare economics, industry incentives, and value drivers preferred.
• Demonstrated success in strategic planning, operational execution, and performance improvement in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience managing through complex organizational structures and working with shared service models.
• Advanced proficiency with financial modeling, forecasting, and data visualization tools; prior experience with enterprise ERP and reporting systems required.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills with executives, teams, and external stakeholders.
